Rajahmundry (AP), Nov 10 (PTI) Thirty-three lakh people have been enrolled as registered voters from various assembly segments in East Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwar Lal said today. "In East Godavari district 33 lakh people enrolled their names as general voters so far while during the revision another 40,000 voters have enrolled their names," Lal said, adding over one lakh students who completed 18 years on January 1, 2012 have applied for enrolment as voters in the state. Lal was speaking to reporters after holding a review meeting with district collectors and other officials of East and West Godavari districts. He urged educational institutions to ensure that students get themselves registered. Lal informed that the last date for the enrolment of voter is November 20. "We have set up 345 centres in East Godavari and 218 centres in West Godavari districts for enrolment purpose. These applications are also accepted through on-line, e-save and mee-seva centres," he added. He said elections to graduation constituencies will be held before March 2012, where 1,72,302 voters were enrolled in 2009. PTI CORR NSK
