Dumka (Jharkhand), Nov 10 (PTI) Suspecting them of being in an illicit relationship, a group of passengers today thrashed a woman and her male colleague on board a Jassidih-Dumka local train. "Both of them were coming to Dumka by the passenger train from Jasidih when some passengers started beating them up in the train after accusing them of lovers. The duo was also thrashed on the platform when the train reached Dumka," Deputy Superintendent of Police A K Srivastav said. The victims, who were identified as Rani Kisku (30) and Ramnath Shah (33), were admitted to the Dumka Sadar Hospital. Denying any relation between them, the woman told police that both of them worked in a firm in Delhi, and was accompanied by her colleague as wanted to return home in Dumka after falling ill. After getting down at Jasidih station while coming from Delhi, the duo boarded the local train for Dumka, the police said. Dumka Station Master Sriprakash said the duo ran into his room for cover.
