Kozhikode,Nov 3 (PTI) Asserting that it would fight for the rights of the minorities, the Indian Union Muslim League today alleged it was being targetted as the party was helping them. The party would raise the issue in the UDF meeting scheduled to be held on November 5, State senior IUML leader E T Mohammed Basheer told reporters along with IUML unit general secretary K P A Majeed after the one-day state IUML Executive camp here. The party had worked hard for bringing UDF to power in the state, he said. Replying to a query on the Kochi Metro issue, Basheer said IUML would like to see that the project becomes a reality. Chief Minister Oommen Chandy was making all efforts to make Kochi metro a reality, he added. IUML State President Hyderali Shihab Thangal presided over the meeting. Union Minister of State for External Affairs, E Ahamed, inaugurated the camp which was attended, among others, by state Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty.PTI TKK BN
